Custom Product Pages: one app, many front doors

Oldest rule in advertising: the ad's promise and the page's pitch must match. Custom Product Pages finally let one app keep that promise to different audiences — up to 35 page variants, each with its own URL, own screenshots, own pitch. Organic search still sees your default page; CPPs are for traffic you route.

What a CPP is (and isn't)

Each CPP swaps the screenshots, app previews and promotional text — and nothing else. Title, subtitle, icon, price, reviews and the keyword field stay identical to the default page, so CPPs change the pitch, never the identity or the ranking. That makes them the mirror image of PPO: PPO tests variants against each other on the same traffic to find one winner; CPPs serve different pages to different traffic on purpose, permanently. Test with PPO, segment with CPPs.

The message-match playbook

Measuring each door

App Store Connect reports per-CPP performance — impressions, downloads, conversion — so each door gets its own verdict. The classic surprise: a CPP "underperforming" your default page isn't necessarily failing — it's often receiving colder traffic. Judge a CPP against its own history and its source's intent, not against the default page's organic searchers (the benchmark-reading rules in miniature). And keep the default page honest meanwhile: it's still the door all your organic traffic walks through, and a shiny CPP portfolio distracting you from a stale default is optimizing the side entrances while the front door squeaks.

Keep every door's funnel honest

FunnelHound watches your funnel from App Store Connect — so campaign traffic, organic traffic and their very different conversion stories stay readable.

Data notes: CPP limits and capabilities per Apple's App Store Connect documentation as of 2026 — the 35-page cap and editable field set have changed before and may again. Per-CPP analytics availability varies by report; verify in your own App Analytics before building a campaign structure on it.
